Getting prepared for a job interview tomorrow.

I will be driving to a job interview with a headhunter company tomorrow morning. All is well prepared and I plan to start early enough, just in case there is a traffic jam on the way down to the southern part of my country. During the preparation for this blog entry I found an interesting webpage, covering the job interview topic in a lot of dimensions http://www.best-job-interview.com/preparing-for-a-job-interview.html

The detailed background check is ready and I have a page with my questions prepared about the target company. Besides that a good opportunity for the "90 second spot" and to make use of the other work I have done in the last two days, to work out my "added value" and "unique selling point". Really a challenge to reduce 27 years of work, expertise and experience into some key words and sentences, but it is worth the effort.

If you like pictures and are a more visual guy, you can possibly make use of a Tag Cloud, to bring your message across (a proposal from my outplacement consultant). I did look into this topic yesterday and found an easy tool, to generate tag clouds from a prepared text http://www.wordle.net/ (Java based, best works with Firefox).

Besides that there are a hugh number of articles flying around about the Human Resource (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/bye-human-resources-ben-whitter-%E6%9C%AC%E7%BB%B4%E7%89%B9) and Seasoned Professionals (http://www.forbes.com/sites/dorieclark/2014/05/20/tips-for-seasoned-professionals-how-to-reinvent-yourself-for-a-second-career/#3a030c197d67) topic. I just selected two examples, if you have time 😉?
