Great help for job seekers ...

Just back from the Digital Workplace Summit in Dresden, but I will need some more time to summarize and come back with a more detailed story. Just a quick teaser for you 🙂. The keynote speaker was Jurgen Appelo from the Netherlands, who was talking about Managing for Happiness, a different approach for Managers and Agile teams (have a look at https://management30.com/product/managing-for-happiness/ and enjoy, I did do it yesterday).

Coming back to the headline and help for job seekers. I found an interesting article in Forbes about 15 Ways You Can Make Your Dream Of Getting A New Job This Year A Reality (http://www.forbes.com/sites/dailymuse/2016/11/15/15-ways-you-can-make-your-dream-of-getting-a-new-job-this-year-a-reality-starting-today/?_m=3n.00h9.91.md0aofyd15.3h1#7fa959d316aa). By looking closer into the details and following the link, how to become ATS-ready (https://www.themuse.com/advice/a-job-hunters-guide-to-getting-your-resume-past-the-ats-and-into-human-hands) - ATS meaning applicant tracking system - "an ATS can scan an entire database of resumes from keywords and criteria at once, freeing up recruiters to focus on the top-ranking candidates", it was even getting more interesting.

I tried the mentioned Resume Keyword Tool (https://www.jobscan.co/) today (only working with English documents and in Firefox) and found out that my CV was not going above a 51% match rate (a good rate would be 80% or higher) for the job advertisement I used as example. So room for improvement ahead of me, some work to be done in the next days.

And finally looking at the other side of the table and how you can differently approach a job interview, if you do a performance-based interviewing process for example --> to Predict On-the-Job Performance in 30 Minutes (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-predict-on-the-job-performance-30-minutes-lou-adler?trk=prof-post). Something to think about ...
