International Women's Day - 8 March

"On International Women’s Day, let us all pledge to do everything we can to overcome entrenched prejudice, support engagement and activism, and promote gender equality and women’s empowerment." — UN Secretary-General, António Guterres http://www.un.org/en/events/womensday/index.shtml and https://www.internationalwomensday.com/

If we are all doing our best and sometimes even a little bit more, to help and support our wife, girlfriend, mother, daughter, sister and colleague not once per year on the official women's day, BUT every day, we are making a big step forward towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.

I found a great article about it today  --> Data Reveals How the Percentage of Women in Leadership has Changed Over the Past 15 Years https://business.linkedin.com/talent-solutions/blog/trends-and-research/2017/data-reveals-how-the-percentage-of-women-in-leadership-has-changed-over-the-past-15-years?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_content=946764&utm_campaign=0.

We are making progress, BUT there is still a long way to go and a lot of room for improvement.

If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader. -Dolly Parton

Presenting leadership as a list of carefully defined qualities (like strategic, analytical, and performance-oriented) no longer holds. Instead, true leadership stems from individuality that is honestly and sometimes imperfectly expressed… Leaders should strive for authenticity over perfection. -Sheryl Sandberg
