Looking forward to #DWNRW 2017 tomorrow
Time is running fast and another year just passed by, as the #DWNRW 2017 summit is coming up tomorrow in Duesseldorf. Last year it was in Essen and I did write a summary post on 04-Dec-2016. Will be interesting to see the progress in one year, given the fact that the technology development is running that fast.
If you have a spare hour available, you can have a closer look into the latest Youtube video: Futurist Keynote Speaker Gerd Leonhard at CEGOS Business Transformation Summit 2017 in Lisbon. Gerd always provides a good summary of the latest status of the Digital Transformation and Development, see https://youtu.be/ncgSZJzHKSE
Via a Meetup (https://www.meetup.com) invitation this week I heard the first time about the Jobs-To-Be-Done Theory and Methodology (JTBD). In simple words: "As Theodore Levitt said, “people do not want a quarter-inch drill, they want a quarter inch hole.” It is true. People buy products and services to get jobs done; and while products come and go, the underlying job-to-be-done does not go away. This notion is at the heart of jobs-to-be-done theory." This is basically the main driver of the digital transformation, to go away from products to services, in the best interest of the customer. You can find more details here:
