Doing a reality check more often ...

Thanks to Tanmay Vora for http://qaspire.com/2018/08/02/share-to-learn/

Guys, keep in mind that we are just 83 readers away from the next big milestone - #70,000 overall readers. Get prepared for the snapshot of the counter, try to catch the milestone exactly or a higher number as close as possible to it, to win a price (see orange headline of this page).

Part of my current project is to do a lot of interviews with the customer base. A really interesting opportunity as you can do a reality check every time you talk to a different customer. On the one side you have the general assumption that the standard solution is well known, accepted and used by everybody. On the other side you are faced with different groups of customers:

  1. Being well aware of the standard solution, using it and appreciating the availability
  2. Running a mixed model: With parts of the standard solution and own developments
  3. Being not at all aware about a standard solution as communication is missing

In summary: Stop making assumptions, go where the real work happens and do a reality check.

Remember, we see the world not as it is but as we are. Most of us see through the eyes of our fears and our limiting beliefs and our false assumptions. Robin S. Sharma https://www.robinsharma.com/about-robin
