Some week thirteen (M1) highlights ...

Today we are celebrating St. Martin's Day and the official opening of the street Carnival at 11.11 AM in e.g. Cologne  https://www.cologne.de/events/cologne-carnival/the-crazy-days.html

The great baking product you can see on the left is called "Weckmann", you can normally buy it in bakeries and shops during the St. Martin's week, but today is Sunday and shops are closed. So we had to make one our own, out of a yeast dough and some artistic hands-on time {#smileys123.tonqueout}. A really satisfactory result and the taste was perfect Thumbs up.

I covered all the other main highlights for the week already yesterday. The counter is up for another 450+ readers since then, crazy days ...

The quote below the picture is from a really famous soccer player in northeast Scotland, from a port city, where the Dee and Don rivers meet the North Sea. He did win several prizes and awards, was the top scorer for several years in a row, when he was 18+ years old. Now he is 55+ and the quote was his summary of today, when he was going back on the pitch for a charity game. What a great role model for the youth? Don't let your body control your mind and your sense of humour. In this mindset the majority of his preparation work was around the selection of the right outfit for the game and not wasting time with work outs for endurance.

Not really in line with Thomas Alva Edison - “Success is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration.” - but who cares Hehe. Have a great week ...
