Time to rename Black Friday?

If you knew this "In recent years, another myth has surfaced that gives a particularly ugly twist to the tradition, claiming that back in the 1800s Southern plantation owners could buy slaves at a discount on the day after Thanksgiving. Though this version of Black Friday’s roots has understandably led some to call for a boycott of the retail holiday, it has no basis in fact." would to still go shopping? https://www.history.com/news/whats-the-real-history-of-black-friday
Everybody has to decide this personally. I am just complaining about all the countries that are taking over a tradition from another country without trying to understanding the background. In some countries the day was even used to go on strike, like in Germany and Spain https://www.reuters.com/article/us-amazon-com-strikes-germany/amazon-workers-strike-in-germany-spain-on-black-friday-idUSKCN1NS1AU
Thanks to my wife and daughter by the way for bringing up the topic and sharing the background information, always good for one or two posts .
So to be on the save side, why not renaming Black Friday to something else? Gives it a personal flavor, you are out of any historical discussion that might come up and it would be a SMART move anyway. Just call it SMART FRIDAY instead - Shop Most Articles Rather Thoughtless - as good as any other idea .
As I had my 2nd largest number of readers per week yesterday - 3,111 - just a small reminder:
