Week eighteen (R1) summary ...
One week to go until Christmas and still a lot to be done. Tomorrow is the Christmas party of my new company, looking forward to seeing how this will be organized. Was always a highlight in previous companies.
My "Talents YES, best agers NO" post found some positive feedback so far 😉, from my parents who are still reading my texts regularly 👍 and on LinkedIn, where I did reference the post yesterday. 3 Likes and 1 positive comment so far, you have to be modest 😙.
Today I did reference my post on XING as well. Back in April 2018 it started with an article about "War for talent exists only below 50" https://www.xing.com/news/insiders/articles/fachkraftemangel-gibt-s-nur-unter-50-1358934?xng_share_origin=web. Back then I did make a comment about my situation and that I was looking for a new job, really difficult with age 55. Same story when you plan to bring 50+ age candidates into a new position as right placement advisor. As this is a really hot topic the discussion was going on since April and got additional comments weekly. Today I posted my update comment. Will be interesting to see the feedback coming in now, if any. Just 5 minutes ago I got the 1st congratulation to find a new job.
