Like the yearly Tax Freedom Day - "the date when employees stopped paying taxes and began earning money for themselves and their families" - see 2017 details for Europe,  https://acton.org/publications/transatlantic/2017/08/03/when-tax-freedom-day-2017-eu  (Germany was 10-Jul-2017), we will have the Equal Pay Day in Germany next week Monday.

"Equal Pay Day marks the day women have to work until in order to earn as much as their male colleagues earned the previous year", see details at  http://www.equalpayday.be/europa/ from 2015/2016. Germany was at a pay gap of 21.5% back then and is still in a similar range.

With all the achievements in the last 100 years - How far have women’s rights advanced in a century?https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/far-have-womens-rights-advanced-century/, there is still no equal payment yet!! Some ideas how to possibly fix this at "How to Decrease Gender Pay Gap in 7 Steps" with an interesting Infographic                                    https://www.market-inspector.co.uk/blog/2017/06/decrease-gender-pay-gap

Since President Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act in 1963, the gap between men and women's earnings has narrowed by less than a half-cent per year. At this rate, American women will have to wait until 2062 to bring home the same salary as their male counterparts.
