The 2019/2020 season will start in 84 days and yesterday the Porsche team, new in the next season, did present their car. One of the sponsors is the company I am currently working for, Vodafone. https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/vodafone-sponsors-porsches-formula-e-team/1595049
Formula-E is definitely a great idea, for the industry to make necessary technology developments faster and for the audience, to get as close as possible to the circuit in the city center. The show is coming to the audience and not the other way round. On the downside, we should still be looking closely at the overall carbon footprint of the championship, as it does not make sense to load the batteries with energy from e.g. coal power plants. And the recyling process of the batteries has to be taken care of as well, as it is full of important and rare raw materials.
I'm really interested in how you create a whole new economy of recycling. It's literally the 'underground economy.' All this stuff that on the surface creates growth and profit, ends up with waste, junk, and CO2. So how do you make it economic to bring new players into the ball game? -- Peter Senge, American - Scientist Born: 1947, https://www.toolshero.com/toolsheroes/peter-senge/
