The week 39-2019 summary ...

I have seen the Ghandi film today from Richard Attenborough and with Ben Kingsley as main character  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083987/

"Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding." and "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -- Mahatma Gandhi, Indian - Leader October 2, 1869 - January 30, 1948

In 1948 he was fighting for the peaceful coexistence of Hindus and Muslims in the newly independent India, but he was killed for it and the conflict is still there in 2019, 71 years later. See https://www.bbc.com/news/10537286 ...

What brings me to the original idea for the BLOG post today - 'Battle of the Sexes': The True Story of How Billie Jean King Struck a Blow for Women’s Sports, what is still an issue 46 years later. The two Ghandi quotes apply here as well and the last time the topic came up was after the 2019 Women Soccer World Championship in France and the discussion about equal payment of men and women players for example.

After all the Feminism activities in the last 40 - 50 years, we are still seeing the self-proclaimed male chauvinist that Billie Jean King was fighting against in her tennis match in 1973. One last example is the reaction of Donald Trump to Great Thunberg's speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit on Monday.

Greta is a perfect example for "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." and all her opponents just fight her person, as my wife confirms me based on all the feedback she is reading on Facebook, and not the content Greta is providing or the story she stands for. When you have no clue or cannot bring anything to the table focus on defaming the person, what a bad habbit. Trump might not be the perfect example, but he definitely shows a tendency that is still widely spread.

Next week I have to finish two presentations, one for my company internal Forum and the second one for my school workshop on 09-Sep-19. Looking forward to it 🙂.

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. -- Mahatma Gandhi
