Better a good opponent than a bad friend ...
One of the sayings in my working environment and fully supported by my personal experience as well. In the moment you stop seeing your opponent as enemy only, you open a can of opportunities to learn, copy and transfer or steal with pride. You might not like to hear it, but you are definitely not the only smart person on this planet.
