My week 06-2020 summary ...

Starting this afternoon and also Monday and parts of Tuesday, Germany will be controlled by a severe storm called 'Sabine'. Schools are closed Monday and most of the public transport will be stopped or heavily impacted.

I planned to stay at home anyway, as I had a school interview scheduled for some weeks already, as preparation for the 2nd VDI Nacht der Technik in Oct-20. The plan is to offer school classes a dedicated bus transfer, to give them the opportunity to see two or three locations during the Night between 05.00 and 11.00 PM. In our Rhein-Wupper area school kids are one of the target groups, to give them the opportunity to find a company for a future internship, apprenticeship or even as future employer. For the company it is a possibility as well, to attract future talent as early as possible and to become more know in the region.

Coming up on Thursday 13-Feb-20 this week is the Digital Demo Day 2020  https://digitaldemoday.de/#speakers, a good mixture of interesting speakers and the exhibition of LEADING NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL TECH STARTUPS. I am especially looking forward to the speeches of Frank Thelen, a former Shark of the German version of Shark Tank https://www.cnbc.com/shark-tank-about/https://frank.io/en/ and Marie-Helene Ametsreiter, a Venture Capital investor and wife of the Vodafone Germany CEO,  https://speedinvest.com/marie-helene-ametsreiter-partner-industry/. I will keep you posted and summarize later this week.
