Longterm investments?

Interesting way to see things, you possibly know that I am a friend of long term investments. Helping people, mentoring/coaching and sharing ideas & experience will pay off sooner or later. You just need a little patience.

"When I was younger, I always wanted to impress, to be good for my country, to make them feel good, and sometimes that meant I didn't focus on myself enough. I learned I had to put myself first. And it's fine because I want for me the same thing that they want for me, which is to win." -- Usain Bolt, Jamaican - Athlete Born: August 21, 1986, http://usainbolt.com/

You possibly know the concept of "40 days fasting - the lenting season" from e.g. the bible or a church? In Germany these 40 days are starting Ash Wednesday and go until Good Friday (before Easter). Today I did read about a promising "copy and transfer" approach, called the climate lenting - fasting for climate protection and climate justice. Instead of going on a diet the idea is to have a period of improvement and reflection around personal climate topics. I am translating the key messages, as the website is only in German. One statement for each week (https://www.klimafasten.de/):

  • Improve your ecological footprint
  • Think about your energy consumption
  • Come up with ideas for food saving
  • Aim for a fair Information and Communication Technologies usage (digital detox)
  • Take a different mobility approach
  • Think about ideas for a life without plastics
  • Agree common changes with your family, friends, colleagues, etc.

Some other helping material, a variety of topics fitting to the story of today:
