The hidden enablers for success ...

Today it was easy to come up with a topic. I did host the #SPIRIT workshop, this time with 15 people and not a pure test run anymore. The initial idea was I go to the dentist at 11.00 AM and the workshop starts at 01.00 PM. Should be working out, even with a little anaesthetic that would be necessary. By chance the dentist told me he was missing the right spare parts and had to get them from another dentist first, what did lead to a delay until 04.30 PM.

So I just had a nice walk in the sunshine, did come home without time pressure and stress and could prepare the workshop much more relaxed.

The workshop did go really well from my perspective. The technology did work much better, still some starting issues to explain the team distribution and order of work, but a lot of great results in one hour, what is just 50% of the time available in the face-to-face workshops. It once again confirmed that IT teams work best under some positive pressure 🙂. Less time means less struggle and discussion, just go for the results quickly. With respect to stress, a nice article from the Leadership Freak - 4 WAYS TO TAME THE STRESS MONSTER https://leadershipfreak.blog/2020/06/23/4-ways-to-tame-the-stress-monster/.

Stress is definitely under the waterline of the iceberg, depending how you react to it. At 04.30 PM all went well at the dentist, so nothing to worry about. Some more or less related links to success, have a look:
