Adaptive solutions ...

I assume most of us know this situation? All was fine by leaving the office Friday afternoon and by noon of the coming Monday all is gone and total chaos is dominating the scene. Is it software code, a project plan or a great idea, does not matter 😎.

In order to get well prepared for the Scrum Master certification I did read The 2020 Scrum Guide today - "Scrum is a lightweight framework that helps people, teams and organizations generate value through adaptive solutions for complex problems."

Most of the people I talk to think Agile project management, may it be with Scrum or Kanban, means most possible flexibility and no control at all. I think this is wrong and confirmed by the Scrum guide. There is definitely a lot of control in this environment, surely distributed to different roles, but with a strong focus on incremental steps/progress accompanied by regular customer interaction 👍.

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” -- George Bernard Shaw
